The Summer and Winter Research Program provides students with the opportunity to gain practical research experience.
What to expect
By participating in a research program, you'll gain valuable academic and professional experience, develop analytical and critical thinking, and learn about a current research topic.
Projects offered by the Indigenous Engagement Division are led by Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander academics. You will have a desk and computer in the office of the Indigenous Engagement Division where you will receive daily guidance and support on the project tasks.
As a research scholar, you'll receive a scholarship equivalent to $3,000 over the 6-week program (Monday 11 Jan to Friday 19 Feb 2027).
are currently enrolled in an undergraduate, honours or postgraduate coursework program at UQ; and
will be enrolled in an undergraduate, honours or postgraduate coursework program at UQ in semester 1 2027; and
have satisfactory academic progress in your current program.
Applications open Monday 21 September and must be submitted by Sunday 11 October. Information is also available on the Research Experience Programs website.
