Sonja Carmichael

Master of Philosophy graduate Sonja Carmichael was inspired by a First Nations art show in Cairns, and started to weave using ‘ghost nets’ – marine debris, found on Country.

Chris Croker

Chris Croker (Bachelor of Engineering ’93) is the Managing Director of Impact Investment Partners and a proud Luritja man. He's working to secure reliable energy supplies for remote Aboriginal communities.

Kev Carmody

Acclaimed singer-songwriter Kev Carmody excelled at university, coming to UQ to study a Graduate Diploma of Education and graduating with flying colours in 1981, then continuing on with Honours, before starting his PhD in History. Kev Carmody returned to UQ for the launch of the new student residence named in his honour. He shared his memories of a life lived through story and song.
