Graduations and sashing ceremonies

UQ graduation ceremonies

Once you've completed your Program, you will be invited to attend UQ graduation ceremonies in July or December. You'll also be invited to join the UQ Alumni Network.

Dates for graduation periods are usually set one year in advance and can be found in the Academic Calendar. These dates as a guide only, and are subject to change. 

Indigenous sashing ceremonies

If you're a graduating Indigenous student, you'll be invited to a special Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultural sashing ceremony, a celebration of the resilience and determination of students.

Graduating Indigenous students are invited to receive an Aboriginal sash, a Torres Strait Islander sash, or both.
