Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Core Cultural Learning courses provide a detailed exploration of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and topics to help you enhance your cultural understanding, gain a deeper sense of self-awareness and critical reflection and enhance your personal and professional capacity to engage respectfully and effectively in an intercultural context. 

The Campuses on Countries: Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Design Framework paves the way for future incorporation of Indigenous knowledges and excellence into the physical environment across UQ’s many campuses and sites. The Design Framework sets out a clear project vision, inviting all staff and students to celebrate the diversity of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures. It will also guide architects, designers, project managers and construction staff in all future projects at UQ.

The University of Queensland (UQ) Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Research and Innovation Strategy sets a course for the University to pursue ethical and responsible research that contributes to cultural, social, environmental and economic benefits for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and communities.

UQ can use its procurement spend to provide opportunities to strengthen relationships and understanding with the University’s Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities. This supports an inclusive and empowering environment for all.

The Language of Relationships with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples - Introductory Guide supports Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and non-Indigenous peoples across the University to build stronger relationships by informing staff and students of appropriate language and providing tools for various communication contexts.
