The University of Queensland Professor Anita Heiss AM is among 25 writers on the Queensland Writers Centre's official shortlist for the Adaptable: Turning the Page to Screen program.
These writers are now one step closer to seeing their writing brought to life onscreen, with the opportunity to pitch their work to producers and film industry professionals at Gold Coast Film Festival this April.
Shortlisted writers are given the opportunity to pitch published and/or publication-ready novels, short stories, biographies, and non-fiction works with potential for screen adaptation to producers, showrunners, and screenwriters.
